Donald Trump Thinks John Mccain is Stupid

Donald Trump has launched a bid for the Presidency by jumping onto the Birther bandwagon. He’s grabbed plenty of headlines but do you think he made John McCain scratch his head and say, why didn’t I think of that?

By leading off with the Obama birth certificate controversy Donald Trump is saying something about the President’s previous opponents. He’s saying John McCain, Sarah Palin and Hilary Clinton must be stupid. Why?Because they didn’t get up and make a very big deal out of this.

Does he imagine they didn’t bother to look at this very, very carefully? Of course they did. Then they decided No, we’d just look like desperate idiots. But Trump isn’t stupid, he’s very smart. How do we know that? He said so the other day.

There is no genuine dispute about Obama’s birthplace. The President produced a Certification of Live Birth in Hawaii back in 2008. Hawaiian officials have backed him up 100% and his birth was registered at the time in the Honolulu papers. When a Philadelphia attorney, Philip Berg, challenged Obama’s right to be President, a Federal Judge threw the case out, saying it was frivolous and not worthy of discussion.

None of that makes any difference to the birthers who believe what they want to believe and are not concerned with the facts.

At this point we should consider the theories of Frank Luntz, a communications expert and author of Words that Work. He advised President Bush, and works for Fox News. His theory is, it’s not what you say that matters, it’s what people hear. This explains the attitude of the birthers. Whenever anybody says anything about President Obama and his birthplace – the birthers hear – he wasn’t born in America – he should not be President.

That is fixed. The lie has been repeated so often it has become a commandment, an absolute truth as far as birthers are concerned. Unfortunately for the Republicans they represent an important section of support so they have to be listened to. It also means anyone who wants to win the Republican nomination first has to declare himself, as far as the rest of electorate is concerned, to be a desperate idiot. Come out as a birther.

Step forward Donald Trump.

Btw there’s no dispute about it because they knew it all along.
