Dr. Martin Luther Kings Birthday Celebration Marred by Politics

As the day came that we celebrate the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr, Democrats use the event to promote their politics.

As this day is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on his birthday, many forget about the man and his mission. Democrat politicians used this day to try and get people who were attending these ceremonies to vote for Obama. They talk about keeping King’s dream alive by electing Obama for a second term.

Now either they are ignorant or trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people again we must remember on thing about MLK. He not only was a very devoted man and even gave his life for his devotion, but most importantly he was a registered Republican. Now that you are getting off of the floor I will repeat that. Martin Luther King was a Republican.

Back in 1968 during the crisis of the freedom marches and the move for equality, the Democratic Party was not for equal rights nor did they support Dr. King’s movement. Not only was MLK a Republican but also the family still is. And in the ‘60’s there was worldwide protest involving equal rights.

Seeing these people use the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, for their own political agenda is disgusting and I think should be illegal. For the younger Black community you must remember that the Democratic Party is afraid of you. They want to keep sending you federal money to keep you down and out of normal society. They planned it this way so that they could not only own you, but your precious vote. So if you think “Slavery” is over, you are wrong.

Our failed government school systems have failed our young people. No longer do many of them teach Civics and Political Science classes because they do not want the Black community to learn or remember past political policies.

Obama has failed the Black community. He had the chance to be the one that continued the march that MLK started many years ago and help the Black Americans achieve their goals in life of living the American dream. Instead he has made them slaves for his benefit by lying to them. Ignorance is not an excurse, but a reason to investigate on one’s own and learn from the history of the past. Without learning the history, there will be no future for many Black Americans.

At that time in life for me, where I lived and the views of my family, I did not agree with everything that Martin Luther King was saying. But I do admire his determination for trying to live his dream knowing that at any time in a violent world, he could loose his life. He continued with his dream and lost his life for it. Remember he was a proud Republican.
