The order was issued by Egypt’s prosecutor general Abdel Meguid Mahmoud.Not yet fixed a date of beginning the process.
The prosecutor, quoted by Reuters, Mubarak will stand trial for charges including “murder premiditata”, which could bring even the death sentence if found guilty.
And Mubarak’s two sons, Alaa and Gamal, for being brought to justice for similar charges, also said the prosecutor. They are already in custody at the Tora prison, located in the southern Egyptian city Cairo.
Hosni Mubarak (83 years) is under arrest in a hospital in Sharm el-Sheik. The former president has more heart disease, and imprisonment to depend on the evolution of health.
Authorities have already begun condemning former Egyptian leaders to charges of corruption, abuse and appropriation of funds function. Until now, ministers of tourism, Zoheir Garranah, and Interior, Habib El Adly and were sentenced to five and 12 years in prison for embezzlement.
The finance minister is also in the investigation phase, like many close to the president and former executive members.
Mubarak gave up power in February 2011, after several weeks of violent opposition protests. He is accused of corruption, abuse of power and violent repression of demonstrations that led to his removal.
According to official figures, 864 civilians have died in demonstrations in January and February and more than 6,000 people were injured.
