Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak overthrown arrived Monday morning in an ambulance for a new session of the court in Cairo, according to images broadcast by state television.
President, 83, was placed on a stretcher when he fell from the vehicle to be transported in the courtroom, as in the previous trial proceedings resumed on 28 December after a three month break.
Trial of former president, who resigned February 11 under the pressure of popular uprising, began on August 3. Mubarak has been detained in a military hospital on the outskirts of Cairo.
Stripped Rais is on trial for his involvement in order to fire on the crowd during this year’s event, which officially around 850 dead. It is imposed the death penalty if convicted.
Former Interior Minister Habib el-Adli and six counselors are considered along with Mr. Mubarak at their cost.
Mubarak also accused of corruption, a charge which is also his son Gamal and Alaa, are also considered along with him.
CEO of the victim “Arab spring” to appear before a judge, he was responsible for the death penalty if convicted.
Hearings recently held hearings in September. The procedure then was suspended because the request denial of the presiding judge, Justice Ahmed Refaat, considered biased by the civil party lawyers. The judge was finally held, allowing resumption of the trial.
Suspension hearings, parliamentary elections and the latest bloodshed in the margins of events helps overshadow the fate of former president in recent months.
