Five Medieval Torture and Punishments
Five ways people in medieval times were punished. Viewer discretion is advised.
There where a lot of ways people could be tortured/punished back then and I’ll show you them.
Coffin Torture-The prisoner would be locked inside the “coffin” for an amount of time determined by the crime committed. The worse the crime was the more time they were kept. Even till death.

Judas Cradle- A pyramid shaped object which the prisoner would sit and be slowly impaled. Often the prisoner would be nude.

Rack Torture-One of the more common and supposedly the most painful of the tortures was the rack torture. To put it simply, the prisoner would have his arms and legs pulled in different directions.

Brazen Bull-Not used as much as the other devices, the prisoner was forced into the hollow brazen bull and a fire was set beneath it. It was mainly used by the Romans and Greek however.
Iron Maiden-One I actually knew about before I wrote this, the Iron Maiden is basicaly coffin with spikes on the door and on the inside. Simple and very painful.

Well there you have it. 5 way that criminals in medieval times were punished.
