Five More Medieval Torture and Punishments
I’ve decided to show you five more medieval tortures. I’d say viewer discretion is advised but none of the pictures are too bad…
- Chair torture – Just look at the pictures and you’ll get the idea. A chair with a bunch of spikes on which the victim was straped and pushed against.

- The Pear of Anguish- This one creeps me out. The device is shaped like a pear and is separated into 4 parts. It was then inserted into the vagina for women (who miscarried), the mouth for liars, and the anus for homosexuals. The pear was then slowly opened by turning the handle at the top.

- Head Crusher - Another self explaining name is the head crusher. Supposedly there is a variant that catches the eyes if they happened to pop out. The torturer would crank the handle on the device thus crushing the head of the prisoner.

- Flaying Torture - Otherwise known as being skinned alive. I’m not sure exactly how they did this.

- Foot Roasting- More used for interrogation. If they refused to talk, their feet would be badly injured by the burning coal that was placed under the feet. I imagine that many lost their feet.

There you have it. Five more medieval torture and punishments.
