George Washington’s Achievments

George Washington was the nation of America’s first president, elected with a 100% favor in the electoral college. He did many great things, but the three things which he did to secure the blessings of liberty were very significant. First, he allowed political parties, which were basically groups of people who supported a leader and helped them run for a government position based on certain views. Although he did not like these groups and thought they were a danger to peaceful society, he allowed them to continue on, securing the people freedom to choose their leader. The second thing he did in order to secure the blessings of liberty was to accept Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton’s plans for a national bank. This made it possible for people to invest and also save their money for financial opportunity. The third and final thing he did was to show the people who were in the Whiskey Rebellion who was boss.
