Germany Shows Hitler Exhibition at Museum
Do you think that a museum in Germany focusing on Hitler an insult to the Jews?
Berlin, Germany is having its first exhibition on Hitler. This will take place at the German Historical Museum.
This will be Berlin’s first exhibition to be devoted completely to Hitler. This exhibition shows that Germany is not ‘hush hush’ about Hitler anymore. The exhibit is called Hitler and the Germans – nation and crime.
It has been more than 75 years since the Nazi’s came into power. Germany is starting, at least in my opinion, to see two sides to Hitler. One a beast who exterminated Jews for no reason and also how he was popular before the war.
Lately in Germany, they have plays and movies about Hitler’s rule. They also have satires and comedies about him.
HansOttomeyer, the head of the museum said that even over 75 years later”Displaying Hitler is delicate. He assures the people that this display “is not an homage’. Hans also added ” It is certainly not about Hitler as a person. It tries to potray how Hitler grew out of the politics of his time, the mental states and fears. What methods he used and where that led, always in a dialogue of pictures and counter pictures.

I don’t think so. It’s just a museum, after all.

Interesting article. I don’t Think this should be an insult to anyone. This is history and if not taught, it’s only doomed to repeat itself. That is the sole purpose for teaching history. Fitting that the theme is – nation and crime.
