• Benito Mussolini
On 26 April 1945, Mussolini and his mistress Clara Petacci were captured near Lake Como in northern Italy. Two days later, after a simulated process have been killed and authorities have published pictures. Their bodies and five other fellow fascists were exposed in the market Loreto in Milan, hanging by their feet. The crowd cursed and shot them with pistols.

On 25 December 1989, after a short and expeditious process, Nicolae Ceausescu and wife Elena were declared guilty of genocide and sentenced to death. They were shot in the courtyard of a military base in Targoviste. That same evening, authorities released pictures of the execution. The two were buried in the cemetery Ghencea under false names. In 2010, the bodies were exhumed and their identity has been verified. Analyses showed that it was Ceausescu.

• Saddam Hussein
Arrested in December 2003, Iraqi dictator was sentenced to death in November 2006 for “crimes against humanity.” Four days later, was hanged in Baghdad. Video images were broadcast on the Internet and on TV.
