Holocaust Remembrance Essay
Why is it important that the lessons of the Holocaust be passed on, and how can we as students prevent discrimination.
What would it be like to live in a world without prejudice or discrimination? The Holocaust exposes the world’s dark aspects, as well as informs the world of one of the most tragic events ever. It is the perfect example of what happens if a charismatic leader is backed with evil ideals. Prejudice, hate, and discrimination can also be represented by the Holocaust. It is essential that the remembrance, history, and lessons of the Holocaust are passed to a new generation because it shows that tragedies occur, prevents individuals from brainwashing populations, and limits prejudice and discrimination to a bare minimal.
People must face the fact that atrocities happen in the world to inform them that prejudice and discrimination lurk on the world. Many people and countries alike have constantly denied that they have committed any crimes against humanity. When people deny the truth, the actual situation is masked up and the event seems to have a more positive effect depending on who committed the crime. If too much people believe that catastrophes are not negative, then certain large-scale crimes will escalate and chaos will suffuse across the world. Certain protected individuals or innocent kids are often discriminated against without then knowing it. Since the victims do not know that they are being discriminated against, the attackers will only continue to spread their campaign of hate. If the prejudice spreads, then the world will eventually be ruled by stereotypes, racism, and discrimination. To prevent the world from being ruled by prejudice and have large-scale crimes emerge into society, it is vital that people face the truth that harsh events occur.
In the case of individuals who charismatically brainwash people are not suppressed, they may cause another genocide or threaten the very principle of democracy. Adolf Hitler was a charismatic leader who used his power to exterminate the Jews. Leaders such as Hitler used their official power to perform malicious deeds. Charismatic leaders with negative intentions can direct their power abusively to starting another series of ethnic cleansing. Aspiring leaders can create fascist or communist governments that can cripple the Western idea of democracy. As witnessed in the Cold War, Fascist and Communist governments can spread like wildfire and can quickly envelope the countries with governmental control. The fall of democracy and the expansion of a strict government would lead to the denial of natural human rights such as free speech or free assembly. To prevent the world of another disaster or the spread of different governments, it is important to warn others of charismatic leaders with malevolent intentions by informing the average citizen of the Holocaust.

Ya u should not of done that. However it was a pretty good essay but never open with a question that kind of middle school level writting. Also, do not use so much hypothetical situations and do not say things like we as refering to yourself however you did correct yourself by saying as a society. This was pretty well written.

I think you did really good on your essay. I think it shows people the importance of what happen back then and why we should always remember that day. Hopefully when students do research work about the Holocaust they see this and they understand and should be glad that we didn’t have to go through that.So dont let people put you down, youe essay was really good.
