Holocaust Remembrance Essay
Why is it important that the lessons of the Holocaust be passed on, and how can we as students prevent discrimination.
By informing others of the Holocaust and speaking out against racism when one witnesses it, the average student can help keep prejudice and discrimination to a bare minimal. The lessons of the Holocaust warn of the dangers of prejudice and discrimination; a racist leader can materialize and a purge will start. People educated about the Holocaust can recognize the dangers prejudice and discrimination instigate. Once one is informed about the menace, they can speak out against prejudice and discrimination. Many troubles throughout history could have easily been prevented if someone dared to speak out. If just one student spoke out against prejudice and discrimination when they witnessed it, then it would spark a difference in the victim and the assailant’s lives. If that is multiplied by the millions, it would structure a whole world of difference. Just by spreading the teachings of the Holocaust and speaking out against racism can students help obstruct the emergence of prejudice and discrimination.
Prejudice and racism -like crime- will never completely perish off the face of the earth, but it can be deferred. Once we, as a society, look back on the past, can we actually start to advance our ideas. That is why it is absolutely vital that the remembrance, history, and lessons of the Holocaust are passed to a new generation; it reveals that calamities exist, prevents charismatic individuals from controlling large populations negatively, and it restricts prejudice and discrimination to a minimal. Only when we sweep our prejudices aside can we step across the chasm of detestation and proceed closer to a better future.

i think it was dumb for you to post this on the internet. now students are going to look for ideas and your essay is out in the open. if student look to your essay for a basis, there will be 200 other essays like yours. you just lost your origionality.

Ya u should not of done that. However it was a pretty good essay but never open with a question that kind of middle school level writting. Also, do not use so much hypothetical situations and do not say things like we as refering to yourself however you did correct yourself by saying as a society. This was pretty well written.

I think you did really good on your essay. I think it shows people the importance of what happen back then and why we should always remember that day. Hopefully when students do research work about the Holocaust they see this and they understand and should be glad that we didn’t have to go through that.So dont let people put you down, youe essay was really good.
