How Egyptian Geography Played a Part in Egyptian History.
Egyptian geography played a huge part in the kingdom’s history because they were able to form as a civilization due to the protection provided by the Nile river and desert. The Nile river was huge and very rough. If potential attackers tried to go down the river to attack Egypt, they were destroyed because the water was too rough. The desert was a dry land of mostly sand. For a band of attackers to cross it would take immense amounts of food and water to carry. Due to this protection, the Egyptian people had no need for an army and therefore, were able to focus on building vast monuments and art. They also developed a religion that was not based on violence.
