Impacts of WWII
Three major impacts of WWII on the world.
The top three impacts of World War Two were completely devastating to the world; they were the Holocaust, the atomic bombs
on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the advances in warfare technology. The Holocaust was by far the event that made the biggest impact on the world forever. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis used the Jews as their scapegoats and decided to commit genocide against them. Its not just the fact that they killed over six million Jews, it is the way that they went about doing this awful thing to begin with. First of all, they took all the Jews they could find and put in the in concentration, labor or death camps. These names are misleading however because they killed plenty of Jews in each kind of “camp” as they liked to call these awful things. They would poison, burn and tear apart the living people. The areas were also too crowded which cause starvation and disease. The Holocaust certainly ranks high in the worst things that have ever happened in the world.
It didn’t just impact the war but it changed the way the world will look at Germany for hundreds of years to come. Another major impact of the war was the atomic bomb droppings in Japan. The United States thought this was the only way to decisively win the war. They dropped two of the most devastating explosives to ever be unleashed on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, killing over 220,000 people. The radiation also lingers, the intense radiation caused deformations in people and wildlife in Japan for years. It also established near world dominance for the United States. The third largest impact of WWII was the advances in warfare technology that were made. So many beneficial things were invented and enhanced for the military. Radar was invented, which is amazingly important because now you can find out where your enemies without getting into any real danger. Before this, you could be dead before even knowing if your enemy is above or below you. Other warfare advance occurred in the air force. Many different types of fighter planes were enhanced and developed, being faster, lighter, more stealth, and being more effective strikers.
