Industrial Revolution and the 1990s

Life wasn’t easy if you were a kid during the 1990s or during the Industrial Revolution. Life was similar and different in technology, living conditions, and working conditions than it is now. Women weren’t treated with respect or dignity.

Technology has been used to make work easier, faster and more efficient. The machines were powered by coal, water and people during the Industrial Revolution. Industrial revolution used machines, the machines were very dangerous, It is similar to what is going on now, we still use coal ,water and people to power things but it was  different because it was more dangerous then it is now, because we have made it safer to use. So it is less likely for people’s fingers to be chopped off than it was in the Industrial Revolution

Some of the living conditions were crowded if you were poor. At that time it was unlikely for you to have a lot of money if you were employees. So during Industrial Revolution there were no utilities in the homes but some people had a candle to see and to keep you warm, but that changed during the 1990’s.We have made better technology over the years so now utilities are used in homes. That makes life easier for the workers because they wouldn’t get sick as much and be happier at home and be more willing to do there work.

During Industrial Revolution the working conditions were harsh. There were a lot of child labor and dangerous machines that usually children used. Children working from age 8 to 12. Now you have to be from age 14 to age 16 to start working. Children worked 14 hour days 6 days a week. The women weren’t treated fairly either. They worked at work the home; they slept and repeated the cycle. The children were often sick, injured, ill, or unhappy but they still had to work. Life as a kid is better now because we can get an education and better the world because we are intelligent. So my conclusion is this if the were smart and put the future of the world in school(children)the world would be more advanced in technology working conditions and living conditions then behind like Bill Gates said.
