220 Martin Van Buren (who,;what was his position; from where; how he became VP) – he was Calhoun’s rival but a Jackson boy, he was from New York where he was governor, became Jackson’s secretary of state, and was also apart of the Kitchen Cabinet. He was a widower and identified with Jackson who made him VP.
221 Jackson’s “Force Bill” – Jackson proposed a bill authorizing the president to use the military to see that acts of Congress were obeyed.
