Japanese Internment in US

WWII.

WWII was a horrific illustration of what the United States does when it is threatened or scared.  Thousands of people where sent to “internment camps” because of thier Japanese heritage.

Why?  Our government saw a threat from a certain demographic and detained them.  Men, women and children were sent to prison in their own country.  Our country.  It is concievable that this could happen again.  Reference the Patriot Act.

Ordinary people caught up in international politics through no fault of their own.  Imagine being a Japanese American during that time.  We are a great beacon of freedom and democracy.  Come to our country and we will lock you up if you look different or don’t think like us.

Japanese Americans did nothing wrong except having a different skin tone and parents.  The point is,  our government has been steadily eroding our rights as American citizens, of all ethnicities.  Why did no one step up and say “no” when they had to know it was wrong to incarcerate citizens of your own country?

We are scared of our government.  So, we smile and nod our heads like the good little lemmings we are and rubber stamp more bull to tie us down every day.  I am ashamed of our treatment in the past of Japanese Americans.

Hmmmm, didn’t really hear about that in history class?  It’s called indoctrination, the Russians do it, the Cubans do it, and Americans do it.  Other countries do it too, of course.  Next, maybe our fascist government would like to lock up all people of Arab decent.

The White House and his sidekick Dick Haliburton get their way, we will all have bar codes on our necks for “easy I.D.”  Moral of this rant….if you elect the wrong person, your policies will be flawed intrinsically.  Prozac Nation….we don’t care…and if we did, there is a drug for that.
