Julius Caesar bio

Julius Caesar was the ruler of Rome. Before ruling Rome, he was a leader of a military group. Julius Caesar made war and conquered France and Belgium. He won a victorious victory in the civil war that occurred in 49-46 BC. Julius Caesar was assassinated by nobles as he was heading to a theatre. Not just a theatre Pompey’s Theatre. The day of his death was March 15, 44 B.C. the name for that day is “The Ides of March”.

Caesar grew up in Rome during some civil war. The empire led to cheap slave labor raining into the hands of Rome. Caesars parents, expected him to be in the political career after his education was fulfilled. Caesar was like no other Roman. At a young age he knew that money was the main part in life, money is needed for things.

At nineteen Caesar was arrested and spared by a Sulla. Caesar went into exile for his crime. So Caesar went to join the army. He posted to be military assistant, and provincial governor. He was then posted to Cilice, where he proved himself a capable and courageous soldier, winning praise for having saved the life of a comrade. After the slave rebellion Caesar then left the army.

It was still unwise to return to Rome. So he went off to Italy and catch up on some education. He then wanted to spend his winter on an island of Rhodes, however the ship he was on was captured by pirates. Who held him hostage for about forty days, until a large ransom bought his freedom. While captured he joked with his captors, telling them he’d see them all crucified, once he was released. Everyone laughed at the joke, even Caesar himself. But it was in fact exactly what he did once he was released. He hunted the pirates down, captured them and had them crucified. Caesar then got a force put together to defend the coast of Rome. Caesar then was allowed to return to Rome because of his military achievements. Caesar became popular in the political areas.

First triumvirate is the name of what was the 3 people ruling Rome. Caesar joined the 3 and now he was one of the 3 ruling Rome. The only way he became one of the Ruler’s was because his great achievement in Spain. The Triumvirate helped Caesar achieve his greatest goal. He was elected consul, the highest office of Rome. After that Caesar becomes Governor of Gaul. Caesar defeats the tribe called “Helvetians” and Caesar then crushed the Germans, after that achievement he then defeats Nervii. Caesar launches attacks on Germany and Britain and raids them. They weren’t very successful raids, but he was doing it for attention and propaganda. Gaul arose and had a huge revolt on it’s leader. All the tribes but 3 allied against Romans. He noticed he had no chance with his troops and withdrew. Caesar then went to the battle of Alesia.

Caesar had won the battle and defeated the tribes that held the revolt in Gaul. Caesar then became master of Gaul, then headed across Rubicon to take over Rome. He wasn’t happy to do it, but had to cause Rome left him high and dry, so he marched in and took it over. After that he reconstructed Rome. After that mess Caesar defeats Pompey. After Caesars accomplishments, Caesar was then killed by the conspirators. The leaders we’re Brutus and Cassius.
