Leon Trotsky and Joseph Stalin

Biography of Stalin and Trotsky, leaders of Soviet Communism.

Eastern European countries become satellite countries of the USSR. The Iron Curtain falls and the Cold War begins. Stalin is given the Order of Victory and the Order of Lenin and is named Hero of the Soviet Union. The leaders of the Leningrad Party are executed accused of treason in 1949. The Korean War begins to try to unify Korea into a Communist Korea, which ended with 3 million dead and the boundaries as before.  The Berlin Blockade began with a dispute between the capitalists and Stalin. The Soviets blockade Berlin and the Berlin airlift provides food for the people of Berlin for almost a year. The Iron Curtain begins between Western Europe and the Eastern European satellite countries of the USSR. Stalin dies in 1953 and is buried besides Lenin. Some people believe Stalin was poisoned as he suffered a hemorrhage before dying.  After his death, the next leader Nikita Khrushchev begins the process of de-Stalinization of USSR.
