Malcom X: The Spine Obama Lacks
Go hard or not at all.

46 years after Malcom X was assassinated, their is still a growing interest in the man born Malcom Little. Now more than ever people are searching for a thread of hope from a radical perspective that seems to have died on February 21, 1965. With our political system so broken and remnants of our ugly past continuing to pop up in different forms, we need more proactive, militant leadership and a By any means necessary type of commitment. Not a president intent on compromising and striving for a utopia of civility that hasn’t materialized and never will. It’s true that President Obama can’t save the world- and he won’t. But for once it’s time to show some kind of spine and take the impediments that the Republican Party are putting up, and present them to the American people. You can only give in so much before you’re labeled as weak, and rightfully so.

Analyzing the problems that we face is sad to see in a country that touts itself as number one- homeless people living in the streets, families without jobs and fading hope, racial tensions exploding nationwide in communities, including senseless murders and even police cover-ups. If ever we needed a leader with spine- we need one now. Everything that Malcom embodied, we need it now!
So when you select heroes to teach blacks about, Malcom should be at the top of the list. One must study all facets of the man to understand his genious, not just the controversial white-hating Malcom, but also the Malcom that admitted he was misguided in hating white people- realizing that the solution to all of our problems can be solved by the inclusion of all races. Sure, we have our first black president, but being first has certain stipulations. Are you satisfied with the achievement, or are you willing to fight on behalf of the people that sent you to Washington? The narrative has been so skewered by talking heads that lies become truths when fed to the mainstream on a daily basis.
I just can’t see Malcom not debating these scoundrels, taking them head on at every turn when they lie, especially having the biggest platform on the planet. Dr. King had his way of attacking a problem that greatly differed from Malcom’s, but the two contrasting styles ultimately lead to the same result- progress for all. The common thread that allowed both of these movements to be successful were self determination and God being in the midst. Fortunately, with a heartless Congress and a president with half of a spine, we still have the Almighty God to call on even when we cannot carry ourselves. But at this moment in time- Malcom, I’m missing your rap.
