Maltese Pre History

Pre History of Malta.

With all these temples on Malta it is a wonder why or how they got to the island. It might be by canoe from Sicily or there was a land bridge connecting Malta to Sicily. There is evidence the peoples had sea going trades happening because of two obsidian cores found on the island. These cores could not have been on the island naturally so the cores had to come from nearby volcanic islands. Also red ochre was used commonly in temples and tombs but it was also not natural to the island so the peoples must have traded for some with the peoples of Sicily. The peoples of Malta made there first home in caves across the coast, like Gar Dhalam.  They probably hunted and farmed to survive on the Islands.

The Island of Malta has seen lots of history. The temples, then Romans, then Arabs, and then knights of the order of St. John. Number just a few of the historic peoples involved with the small island. Temples thought to be made by giants, and underground tombs more advanced then the pyramids. Objects and temples twisting the minds of many archeologists.
