Actress Daryl Hannah was arrested in front of the White House along with several other environmental activists who were demonstrating to protest plans to build oil pipeline from Canada to the United States.
Demo sitting held on Wednesday (31/8) that involves dozens of people protesting the construction of pipe XL.
The pipe will go through six U.S. states until it reaches the oil refinery in Texas. Before the arrest, Hannah a tauch the demonstrators demanded that the world free from dependence on fossil fuels.
The group demanded the U.S. government to invest in renewable energy. They hope President Barack Obama does not give up terharap oil companies.
This is not the first time Hannah was arrested related to environmental issues.
