Massacre Aftermath, U.S. Cancel Joint Military Exercise with Egypt.

Following the massacre that occurred in Egypt, the United States government to cancel joint military exercises between the two countries.

This was announced by President Barack Obama in his speech on Thursday, August 15 local time as reported by news agency AFP on Friday.

“While we want to continue to maintain our relationship with Egypt, cooperation we can not continue as usual when civilians were killed in the streets and pulled rights,” Obama said.

“As a result, this morning, we informed the government of Egypt that we cancel joint military exercises once two years we, who should be scheduled for next month,” said Obama.

-US joint military exercises should take place in the Egyptian Sinai region next month. Exercise takes place once in two years was named “Operation Bright Star”.

In his speech, President Obama also condemned the bloodshed that occurred in Egypt. “We condemn the violence against civilians,” said Obama.

“I would like to say that the Egyptian people deserve better than we’ve seen the last few days,” he said.
