Medieval Times Summary
by This is a report I did some time ago. Very useful got a grade of 110% extra credit. Even though the teacher that i handed this to was very strict she said it was the best report she read in her life.
The Medieval Times was one of most important periods of time. This was the time when technology started to improve and when Christianity rise. This period lasted from about 350 A.D to the around the year of 1450. I will talk about eight topics, which are history, kings and monarchy, knights, transportation, weapons and armory, life, and structures. All of are these are in relation to the Medieval Times.
The history of the Middle Ages had a lot in it. This time included famous artist like Michelangelo and Leonardo de Vinci. It also included the time of Arthurian legend (he was a real person but we don’t know if some of his legends are true or not). One tragic moment was the Black Death, a bubonic plague which eliminated half of the population in Europe between 1345-1460. But even if it was the fall of the Roman Empire and rise of Europe there are many things yet still to be explored.
The monarchs and kings of medieval Europe were rulers of a region (which could either range from small islands to a whole country). They made laws, controlled what happened in their land and sometimes told people what to do. Of course there was a queen also. The queen had some control of the kings knights and when the king was out or in battle the queen would take over until, the king came back or when she had a son he would be king.
Medieval times also included knights. Knights were protectors of their Lord (which could be a king or the knight who trained him) and were looked up for honor, protection and bravery. But you didn’t become a knight in one two three, their were 3 stages. At age 7 you would become a page, which was when you served a Lord, put on his armor when he went to battle and prepared his meals. At 13 you would become a squire which had a long list of jobs (learning what a knight does, how to wield a sword shield and spear, serving as a mentor, polished the armor and weapons, looked after the horses , prepare the meals) . Then between the age of 18 and 21 you would become a knight.
It was very hard to get around during the Middle Ages. Foot did most of the transportation but there were also other ways to get around. If you were middle class you could go around by horse. If you were wealthy or high class you would get around by horse drawn carriage. To get across the sea you would go by boat (a ship if you were an important symbol or was doing a job for someone important). But as I said most of it was by foot (that’s why most people lived by monasteries which was the only source of a hospital).

Thank you for having this page. I’m doing a project for high school and i needed to know all about a knight, so this page helped a lot. I can tell why you got a A+ with extra credit on it. Good job.

Good job, alright. But I don’t think it was worth 110% though. You missed some vital points such as the feudal system, chivalry etc., but otherwise, great job.

Don’t want to be rude because I’m not sure what grade level you are at… but I am a history major in college and not only is this paper grammatically incorrect, but some of the information was simply wrong.
Please everyone, do not use this paper for your projects, but do your own research!
If you are a younger grade in high school though, this paper is very good. However, for sophomore, junior, or senior status in high school and anything in college, this paper would not be accepted.

There isn\’t any information about the church having a role in this and that the four humour theory was dropped because the church got involved therefore the people got told to believe the religious theories.The church also became the government… This was a massive part in the medieval times.. and i need more information about it… this didn\’t help at all…

Great for you. I’ll give you a little hint Mr.I’m-10-and-haven’t-grown-out-my-testicles-yet, CAPITALIZE and make sentences since your so smart. Also look at the date it was done. That’s called 6th grade, you;re in 5th and can barely read chapter books unless forced to for the summer. I’m now in 12th grade, and can write circles around everybody in my school.
