Memories
Things always works on a mysterious level. Things that we wish to happen end up not happening at all. Yet things that we dont want to happen, keeps on happening.
When bad things happened to us, we wish and try hard to forget about it. Yet, no matter how hard we try, your memories just wont accept to trash those memories. But when we want to remember those good memories, we just keep on forgetting them. Sometimes we think to ourself, why cant we just forget the bad ones and keep those good ones. Well dear friends and family, things just dont always work out the way you plan them to. So live with it!
Some people loves history, history is their life and a source of income. While others are not related to history and they hate learning them. Why do we learn history? What is the main purpose of putting history classes in all of the education system if it is only to remind us of where we came from, what happened and why? What is the point? Well, the point being is that “Those who cannot remember the past are condemn to repeat it”. Most people either they have forgotten this quotation and have totally live in ignorance to this quotation for the rest of their life. This quote is the earliest version from a poet and a philosopher name George Santayana.
Now you may be wondering what memories has to do with history. Well, I dare say so myself that memories are part of history, and history are part of memories. Without memories, one would not be able to write down what he or she have seen, heard, smell, taste and even felt during the time of the event that he or she was writing. Even our dairies that we write every night just before we go to bed about what had went through our life during the day time, is also considered part of our personal history. Immagine now that you have just buried your dairy, and over the next 500 years or so, the next generation of archeologist digs up and find your diary laying there in the dirt. Whoa, that would be a brilliant history of you, a proof that you, such a person, had ever lived. You have just become part of the world’s or country’s history!
But that is history. Just another record of existence. A proof of what was and now is. A proof that no one can deny but only can be tested for its accuracy. However, my point here is to say, maybe there are some reasons as to why we forget the things we want to remember and remember the things that we want to forget. Like wise someone once said, “to be able to find it, it have to be lost. To be able to lose it, it have to be found. One cannot find of what is not lost, nor be able to lose what is not found.”
But what i want to say is that, maybe, sometimes we remember the things that had happen to us which we want to forget, maybe it is because our brain is trying to tell us not to forget, but instead make it a lesson, so to avoid the things you hate most, from happening again. Memories are not good memories or useless memories. All memories tells a certain story depending to the kind of situation. One might tell you to not talk to strangers, or to people who stop their car beside you as you are walking, or some might even just ask you to take the bus ride home.
Treat it as though memories have their own souls, and they are continuously trying to warn you about something.
