Moscow: The Beautiful and the Busy

“Even those who have never been to these wonderful streets and squares love it, and proud of it,” said a former president of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin at the official ceremony on Moscow City Day, September 2, 2006.

Finally, gathering information about accommodations are equivalent to gathering information about tourist attraction sites and transportation. In Moscow City, the old style and the new era modern hotels are ready to serve their international and national tourists. For example, the five star hotels like Golden Ring Hotel, President Hotel, Savoy Hotel; four star hotels like Cosmos Hotel, Borodino Hotel, Novotel Hotel, Soviet Sky Hotel; and three star hotels like Lefortovski Most, Izmailovo Vega, and Gostiny Dom hotels are built magnificently (lonelytravel.com). To tell you the truth, hotels in Moscow are very expensive. Every hotel deeply penetrates the tourist’s pocket booth. Nowadays, there is no place for skinny pockets, empty purses, and half-full wallets in Moscow City like a communist era. So watch out!

To summarize my writing, tourists should check out these highlights before departing somewhere without enough information: a qualification of being a beautiful tourist city isn’t based on its thousand sky scraper buildings. A reflection of mixed and attractive wave of lights and annual fire works isn’t a standard of a good city, either. Wide asphalted roads, magnificent nearby mountains and a classical sound of the fall of rivers don’t represent a country alone. All mentioned in the above, together with the citizens open heart, heartfelt love, tradition of guest hospitality and kindness are needed to be a pearl of tourists. Based on those world class criteria, as a person who was born and raised is a socialist country, I know Russians are tested and placed on the top of the lists internationally for a generation even if Moscow opened its doors for everybody without ideological pre-conditions after the collapse of the communism infrastructures. Hence, tourists don’t waste your precious time, and be lucky to insert your honorable names in the middle of the lists of millions of Moscow visitors. At the end of your trip, indeed, I know you would say “I love Moscow” as a tourist witness like others.

I had a roommate in the military who was from Russia and I opened this out of curiosity. Are you recommending one visit Russia but warning them to plan carefully for expenses?
