Motorcade of Vice-president Joe Biden Leaving The Cambridge Hyatt January 27, 2012
This is the second of three part series about the January 27, 2012, visit to the Cambridge, Maryland Hyatt by Vice President Biden and President Obama who came to address their fellow Democrats at the resort.
The following pictures were taken by me, copyright 2012.

The Cambridge City Police officer stationed at the junction of U.S. 50 and MD 16 prepares for the exit of the Vice President from the Hyatt. He and other officers stationed elsewhere will stop all traffic so the Vice President may safely travel to the Cambridge-Dorchester County airport.

A helicopter circles the area prior to Vice-President Biden leaving the Hyatt.

MSP vehicle exits Hyatt with lights and siren activated just before the Vice-President makes his exit and heads onto eastbound U.S. 50. I am not sure why. The airport is in that direction. Perhaps he was making a security sweep.

The signal is given and law enforcement spring into action to stop traffic. Above is the Cambridge City police officer who was stationed at the junction of U.S. 50 and MD 16, directly across from the Hyatt.

His colleague behind him redirects traffic near the entrance of Wal-Mart on MD 16.

Remember the officer near Arby’s in the previous article? He has stopped traffic going east bound on U.S. 50 well away from the Hyatt entrance.

About five minutes later, the leading motorcycles exit from the Hyatt.

Next came the lead vehicles.

This vehicle could have been transporting Vice President Biden from the Hyatt. However, there was another vehicle behind this one, similar to it.

Here is the second possible vehicle.

Here are both vehicles. It’s hard to tell which one the Vice President is in.

The remainder of the motorcade exits the Hyatt.

Vice President Biden leaves by helicopter about fifteen minutes later.
The next pictorial article will present President Obama’s motorcade.

Enjoyed. Seems like a lot of precaution but sadly in today’s world it is necessary. Our tax dollars at work folks and they are doing a good job.
