The terrorist group Al Shabaab has issued a personal threat against the life of Sarah Obama – the step-grandmother of the President of the United States Barack Obama.
Sarah Obama presently lives in Kenya with her extended family members and was already given security protection by the Kenyan government moments after it was known that Osama bin Laden had been killed by the United States forces.
But with this latest threat to her life, her security has been doubled, mainly in an abundance of caution as one might never know.

Al Shabaab is a Somali terrorist group that is closely affiliated to al Qaida.
Since the death of their leader Osama bin Laden, Al Qaida and its numerous affiliates have issued various threats mostly against the West. Some experts have said that their threats are a way of showing the world that they are still a force to be reckoned with.
The American embassy in Kenya is also on constant alert of a terrorist attack.
