Pride Before a Fall
How Arrogance Leads To Tragedies and Disaster.
I have decided to begin writing a daily essay on various topics of note and today that topic is personal pedastals. What do I mean you may be asking so in the progression of this article I will explain. While achievements are usually a great thing, arrogance is not. When we (collectively) start to allow ourselves to be high-minded, we actually become a detriment to ourselves and others.
It is never a good thing to set ourselves on a pedastal looking down on others. I will give an extreme example as to a time in history where arrogance has led to disaster. How many of you remember the atomic bomb? I read in my history class about Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the tragedy that occurred there.
What is my point in bringing that up? To say Wars are a product of arrogance, and abuses are also a product of arrogance. If people would let go of their attitudes of thinking others are less than they, wars and such would not start in the first place, and there’d be no tragedies like the holocaust or Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Arrogance destroys, a person setting themselves up on a personal pedastal starts to think of themselves as untouchable, but one thing people should keep in mind, is that Pride comes before a fall.
