Through time, women have evolved and have fought for a cause that they believe in. Women such as Susan B Anthony, Jane Addams and Florence Kelley have all led women to be more prominent during this progressive movement and to search and become women rights leaders.

Susan B Anthony was a prominent leader during the progressive era and after the civil war. She was one of the first women to set foot for the women’s suffrage movement. She brought many women to gather and set marches for women’s rights. In 1869 she joined with Elizabeth Cody Stanton to found the National Women’s Suffrage Movements in which was an organization that led to women’s rights and fight for the right to vote. Susan B Anthony was one of the first women, to talk politically about women’s rights not only through the United States but also all through Europe, where she gathered women to follow her and beliefs in women’s rights

After the era of Susan B Anthony, many women began following her ideas and her movements like Jane Addams. Jane Adams establish a settlement house which was called a hull house were women had the opportunity’s to educate not only themselves but also their children. Hull Houses also gave women employment and the opportunity to earn some money. This began a movement in which women did not have to depend so much on men anymore, and even contributed to the nation’s economy. Her settlement house led women to be more prominent in which they were more dependent and made contributions during the progressive era.

Florence Kelley led many women to fight for women rights. As an activist she was a leader for the women’s suffrage movements not only were middle class women prominent during the progressive era. She help established National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) not only was she fighting for women rights in particular but was also fighting for colored women rights. Not only did she fight for women rights but she also fought for child labor laws. She led great women of diverse cultures to all fight for the women’s suffrage movements.

To conclude, all of these women led and became prominent during the progressives era and help contribute to the to the progressive movement and also led women to fight for their rights.
