Provisions of Success
An essay on Marxism in early Communist Russia.
Finally, the emergence of the communist powers would be the ultimate necessity toward the success of a Marxist society. After the proletarian class unites and overthrows the bourgeoisie, the communists would be in power. “The immediate aim of the Communists is the same as that of all other proletarian parties: formation of the proletariat into a class, overthrow of the bourgeois supremacy, conquest of political power by the proletariat.” Because this “immediate aim” of the communists is the same as that of the proletariat, if the proletarian class achieves it, the communists too would be in power. Through communist dominance, Marx can finally employ his ideas. Marx presents the intentions and purposes of communism throughout his manifesto, and the only way society could carry them out is through a purely communist nation. With the communists finally in power, a Marxist society can finally be established and have a good chance at success.
The methods of production and exchange generated by the bourgeoisie, the complete unionization of the proletarian party, and the emergence of communists into power would in fact provide for the existence of a Marxist society.
