Short Overview of the Holocaust
A short look at the causes and results of the holocaust.
This made many threats to the Nazi regime, not only would these bodies be easily discovered but killing people again, again and again would cause psychological problems for the soldiers making them some times go insane. Also, the cost of bullets were high so it cost a lot to kill each person. But in 1942 as the war was progressing, “The Final Solution” was formulated by the Nazis this was a plan which would kill the entire Jewish race, instead of using bullets and soldiers to kill the Jews, they put them into giant gas chambers then burned there bodies to hide the evidence.
These camps were known as death camps they include such camps as Auschwitz Birkeneau and Treblinka. The Nazis never set up a death camp in Germany, always in other countries. As the Nazis moved into Europe the numbers of Jews lowered and lowered throughout. After the war about 1/3 of the Jewish population were killed by the Nazis, 1/3 of the worlds population of Jews! The Nazi intention was to wipe out all Jews in Germany then winning the war in Europe, eliminate them in a wider area.
Even though the Jewish persecution during the Holocaust was unbelievable, it is not the first sign of Jewish persecution, it mostly started in the middle ages. At the time the Jews and the Catholic church were at each other as the Catholics blamed the Jews for killing Jesus and they also made up lots of lies about them. But in the 16thcentury Martin Luther led the reformation which broke the power of the roman catholic church, he thought the Jews would want to help but they said they wanted nothing to do with it. So Martin Luther told Christians to burn down Jewish synagogues and show the Jews no mercy. When the Nazis started the Holocaust they blamed Martin Luther saying “they were following his teachings”.

I have heard lots of things about this subject, chiefly that there really was not a holocaust.
But anyways, what i know for sure is that the Jews really were not the hardest hits. no one ever talks about Stalin and the death of upto 27 million Russians, compared to 6 million Jews. And the deaths of 15 – 22 million Chinese.
