Slovenia
A brief History on Slovenia.
Slovenia, or as it is properly called, The Republic of Slovenia is a country shrouded in a history of violence and socialist movements. In the beginning settlers settled in the area in the late 6th century, and by the 7th century (around 745 BC) the Slovenians had created the “Slavic Principality” which is known at Carantania. As times changed and Christianity was born many of the native Slavic’s converted to this way of life, though the Carantania still existed and was widely practiced. Slovenia throughout its existence spread into parts of many developing countries which caused it many problems with battling enemies that wanted their lands.
Around 900 BC the Slovenians were taken over in some parts by the Romans who attempted to concur all the land they could. Later on in the Fourteenth century the lands of Slovenia were taken over by the Habsburg and were included in the Habsburg Monarchy. In the following years Slovenia was taken over by the French but only for a short period of time thanks to the Austrian Empire who then took over and set up shop.
In more later years, a time called by some the “Slovene National Awakening”, gave this country many much desired jobs and business’s that promoted the strength of its economy.
Slovenia then went through a world war and was invaded by Nazis and Italy alike which created harsh living not seen since the earlier invasions. All in all Slovenia has seen a widespread amount of war and government reform making it a very historically known place to many professionals in the historic fields.
