Texting and Driving

Don’t do it. It’s as simple as that. I know that this falls under the umbrella of state laws but still, you shouldn’t be texting while driving. First of all, many states consider it to be illegal. Do you really want a fine or go to jail because of something like this? And honestly, what valuable piece of information do you think you will be conveying to the person on the other end of the phone when the police sirens start going off behind you?
In addition to being illegal, texting is also unsafe. I know you probably think you can get away with it but trust me, concentrating on maintaining a multi-ton vehicle is challenging enough as it is. You don’t need to be worrying about your phone too. Also, if you text while drive, I really don’t like you. Do you want to know why? Because I’ll be sitting behind someone at a red light and the guy in front of me will be texting. The light’s gonna turn green but he’s not gonna see it. Do you know why? Because he’s too busy texting Barack Obama saying what a wonderful driver he is.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why you shouldn’t text and drive.

This was a good article. No one should text while driving. You can’t do both things at once. Especially when driving you are taking other peoples lives into your hands and I don’t mean just in the car. The others cars are at risk too!!! Thanks

I see people do it all the time where i live plus chat as they drive.One summer I saw a lady driving while texting and talking and ran a red light.A mere few seconds before she came a mom with babies in a stroller stood by the light she ran.If the car and the mom with the babies were at that same spot at the same time a disaster would have happened.Its just crazy to text or talk while driving but despite the police fine those who do it…..it dont seem to be slowing down any.
