What really happened? Scientists now think they know.
Over 3,000 years ago there was a boy King who ruled Egypt. His name was Tutakhamun. His sudden death has always baffled man. Now scientists think they have solved this mystery.
At first when the mummy of Tutakhamun was examined, scientists found it had a blow to the head. They assumed he had been murdered. However, new studies reveal he also suffered a badly broken leg. So, what does this mean? Scientists now believe with this new evidence that it suggests that Tutakhamun was not murdered at all, but that he was in a hunting accident. They believe he received these injuries when he fell from a chariot while he was hunting.
Many people believe Tutakhamun led a very sheltered and protected life. That he was kept away from all danger. However, that is not the case, he did go out and hunt and lead a very normal life. This is what led up to his accident.
