The Economic and Political Effects of The Mongols and Vikings
Mongols and Vikings were both alike, in the 13th century, in how they took over new areas with no mercy and brought chaos, initially, these two cultures were different in that the Mongols set up well protected trade routes while the Vikings only stole valuable items and set up no new organization.

Vikings were both alike, in the 13th century, in how they took over new areas with no mercy and brought chaos, initially, these two cultures were different in that the Mongols set up well protected trade routes while the Vikings only stole valuable items and set up no new organization. Also, they were different in that the Vikings founded new areas and establishing governments with there great technology of Norse ships while the Mongols only travels in armies by horses.

First, The Mongols and Vikings were similar in the way they attacked and fought battles. Both groups would ransack towns and take everything they needed. This led to chaos among the people who lived in these areas. The Mongols and Vikings could easily get valuables this way and easily establish order how they wanted. This led to chaos in Europe were the Vikings made almost no attempts to establish order after taking a city, while in Eurasia the Mongols established order and easily expanded their empire.

Mongols and Vikings were very different in how they handled trade and commerce. The Vikings dragged the economy of Europe down by ransacking almost any city the easily could. Vikings brutally attacked almost any weak and wealthy place they could including monasteries. The Mongols differed in that they set up trade routes and set up strong economies. Within the Mongol empire were routes like the Silk Road which stretched from East Asia into the Middle East, Africa, and Eastern Europe. For the first time all four of these continents were united, by trade routes, while Western Europe was suffering at the hands of the Vikings economically.

The Vikings spread there nomadic city-states easily to new islands where they established new cultures and nations. Viking people easily adapted from their already harsh conditions of Northern Europe to the even harsher conditions of Iceland, Greenland, and Newfoundland. The Mongols rather dominated cities of other cultures rather than setting up new colonies altogether. The Mongols quickly spread to be the worlds largest empire while the Vikings created new cultures. Viking splits can be attributed to the weak city- state system that was already in place. These differences shaped how cultures interacted and new ones developed in new areas. Mongols and Vikings even wiTh their differences were barbaric to most European cultures. This led to disagreements and splits through the culture. As you can see boTh these civilizations were very methodical in there ways off battle and domination. The Differences between are easily found and can be attributed to how they developed separately.
