The Ghaznavids were a turkish speaking muslim tribe that came from central asia .They had been slaves andsoldiers of the caliph In Baghdad, but had grown so strong that they were able to seize an empire for themselvws in central asia and persia .They made there capital at Ghazni near kandahar (Afghanistan).
