The Historical Effects of the Mongols
Description of how the Mongols impacted the world today whether positive of negative.
From the 11th century onward, the Mongols rose to power, invading and conquering most of Asia and part of Europe. Many people accuse them of savagery for sacking and looting the villages they conquered, while others say that these practices were necessary to ensure a perfect empire. I believe that they were very cruel and yes were savages. Burning conquered villages destroys the citizen’s trust in the Mongols.
Would you willingly support a government oppressive in wiping out your culture? You may obey them, but it has been said that if more than 50 percent of the people are against a cause, it will never succeed. The Mongols took the children and wives of honest citizens and used them as eunuchs and concubines.
That is the sign of a government who unleashes rage on a group of people for no reason at all, similar to another grave event occurring during the 20th century in Germany. Had the Mongols not invaded, the world could have been so much more advanced today, because the other conquered countries would have made great advancements instead of trying to defend their villages.
