The History of Europe

Another factor that contributed to the growth of Christianity was a king named Charlemagne. He was the king of Franks and he reunited them and also defended the m from the Vikings. A boost from a king like that is exactly what the Europeans needed. The next factor was England. England was one of the most dominant and successful countries in Europe. England had the strongest armies and it could protect all of Europe. The next factor is Philosophers and artists. Philosophers and inventors flourished in Europe and because of them it had the best technology. Also Artists were important because they introduced new painting methods and new art skills in Europe. The last factor that Contributed in the growth of Europe was Explorers. Many explorers started traveling around the world getting new goods and technology and also most importantly finding new land. One of the most important lands the Europeans found was America which became one of the most successful countries even until today.

Apart from factors that contributed to growth there were things that the Europeans had to overcome to grow. There were three main things: Vikings, Disease, and Islam. They had to overcome the Vikings because the Vikings were cruel savages who came around looting and raiding cities in Europe and ruining Europe’s growth. The second factor they had to overcome, Disease, was probably the most fatal hard problem. While traders brought in goods from other countries they also brought rats with them who were infected by fleas and the held a terrible danger to people for a disease called the plague or the Black Death, which is what the Europeans called it, spread from these rats and it spread terribly quickly. The Disease would by people having a fever and then go on when people started burning and feeling they needed water all the time then they would burn with a horrible fever for another day and then dye in agony. The third factor the Europeans had to overcome to grow was Islam. This was because Islam had terrible kings who went around demolishing whole countries killing everybody who stood up against. Though the problem persisted it ceased after a while when Europeans became powerful but then it returned when the Europeans went on Crusades and to get Jerusalem back they had to overcome Islam.

Europe was one civilization to last till now and even now it remains very powerful.
