The Holidays

    First lets look at Halloween. It really isn’t concidered a holiday. But, we let our kids dress up in costumes an go out trick or treating for all kinds of candy. There are many people out there that would rather not celerbrate that holiday because its against thier religion. In most part I would have to believe with them.

    Halloween is celerbrated by many wiccians out there. Witchcraft is a touchy subject when it comes to many Christians out there. But, being that I’ve done plenty of reading on this subject over the years. Halloween is more for kids but I disagree that its just for them. I would like to see this holiday not be on the calender. It shouldn’t be a holiday at all.

     Now lets take a look at Thanksgiving. This has only one meaning. To be thankful for the many blessings that have come in our lives. In all, we should be very greatful for having our life. We are surposed to live it the best way we know how. But, to many take it for granted and die early. We need to be happy with out lives and say thank you to God for giving us these awesome bodies we have. We are surposed to take good care of them. Go out and work to make money, buy food to sustain our bodies. Put a roof over our bodies.

     We should all be thankful for the families we all have. The ones that we should trust and look up too. In our lifes we have many trials that we can’t avoid. We need someone to turn to and be thankful for them being there when its very important to us.

    Getting together with the ones we love at Thanksgiving is just one of the holidays that brings us back to our families. We should tell each other what we are really thankful in our lifes and hope that each year that passes we still feel thankful for all those things.

    Now lets look at Christmas. We put up decerations and trees and go out and buy people presents. But, what is the real meaning behind Christmas. Many Christians say its for us t celerbrate Jesus Christs birth in this world. Maybe it is. But does everyone really believe in him. Not really.

    Christmas to me means remember the glad tidings that I should be giving to others. I’m not much into the things that other people are when it comesto celerbrating this holiday. But, I spend alot of time watching all those Christmas movies that are on television. They make me feel glad.

    I don’t have any wishes for myself this year. But, I do wish that things in our world would be better. I know that this is a big wish. I also know that its pretty much impossable. But, its my wish.

    Now lets look at New Years. Its concidered a holiday because it brings in a new year. Its like having a new start in our lives. To start something new. To bring some kind a happiness that wasn’t there before. To remember that we should be greatful for everything that’s in our lives. To be greatful for even the new things that could come in our lives as will.

    Many people make new years resalution that they never keep. But, I think if your going to do something like that then you need to make it really worthy to keep. Don’t think of something stupid. Think of something that may just effect someone elses life. That would make the next years coming thankgiving worthy of being thankful for.
