The John Kennedy Assassination
A look at the assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy and the conspiracy theory.
There are many theories on what happened in Dallas the day President Kennedy died. most of which I find to be bizarre. The problem is that the only man who we are sure knew the truth was killed by Jack Ruby. Lee Harvey Oswald could have uncovered valuable information or been a brick wall, either way shedding light on the situation. Let’s look at a few of the most popular theories that swirl around:
Oswald defected to the Soviet Union, which is a fact. Some believe he swore intense loyalty to the Communists and was out to serve his new country by cutting off the head of his former nation, he was a lone gunman
Many like to believe that Oswald and Ruby were part of a mafia hit team hired by Castro and Cuba.
Others think that Vice-President Lyndon Johnson or FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover were involved in a coup OR other members of the government were protecting the nation from the Kennedy family (supported by the assassination of Robert Kennedy)
I have heard arguments that the Soviet government replaced Oswald with an undercover agent who took the shot.
It is my personal belief that Oswald was an angry man, mad at Democracy, fresh from the Soviet Union. He came back to America, not to help the Soviet Union, necessarily, but angry at the President and the nation who followed him. I believe Oswald was truly the lone gunman and had no motive other than killing a leader he didn’t like. As for the Oswald shot’s not being easy shots, it is true, they were not easy. There was no “magic” bullet, the motorcade was built with Kennedy slightly to the right and above the governor, allowing the bullet which hit the President to pass through his neck and pierce the Governor of Texas. One must also remember that Oswald was a marine sharpshooter, although he didn’t score top marks, he very well could have made the shots. The Zapruder film to me doesn’t bring about a grassy knoll figure, rather it eliminates the possibility of another shooter. The shadowy figure is seen everywhere, also there is no protruding weapon from the shadow that is suspected. It is my conclusion (and also that of the Warren Commission) that Oswald was an assassin much like Leon Czolgosz
