The Knights Templar
A short summary of their fate.
The knight’s Templar were formed after the crusades to safeguard pilgrims on their way to the holy land. What was so special about them at the time was they were the first band of fighting monks. They fought, but they also prayed over their weapons. There are many conspiracy theories surrounding them today.
Templar knights took many vows such as chastity, poverty and unconditional obedience.
However they grew very rich, they said they took vows of poverty themselves but the gold was kept to conduct the organizations business. Rich men who wanted to redeem themselves in god’s eyes gifted the Templars with money and land and in the hope it would cancel out their sins. This much we know is fact.
There is a theory that the Templars found the Holy Grail and used it to blackmail the Vatican into giving them powers like tax exemption in all Christian lands. Using their vast amount of gold they invented the first traveler’s cheque for pilgrims. It was this gold and lending that brought about their end.
They lent a lot of gold to King Philip IV of France, he couldn’t pay so he convinced pope clement to declare them heretics and have them burned at the stake. Legend has it as grand master Jacques de Molay burned his last words were: “I will see you both in a tribunal before god within a year” Within a year both king and pope were dead.
Some people think the Templars still exist but under the name the Freemasons.

Hey, Liam is it? This is excellent, very informative. I’d like to see any more you make – I will link to it from my website as promised. The Freemason Conspiracy is false, as far as I know. They are a cult which accept any member of any faith provided they are monotheistic. Hindus are allowed in by a technicality. Anyways, all they do is use tools to describe life. If I’m wrong, write an article correcting me

Give a reply to my last comment if you have more info – I’m interested in their history. On that thought, “History” is a popular tag, so add it to your tags to get a few more hits.
