The Loss of a Legend

As if more then enough hasn’t been written about the great ship and her legend, I’m trying my hand at it. Just attempting to perfect my writing skills as a storyteller as it is not done overnight.

The Loss Of A Legend

Many things has been wrote about the Titanic ever since 1912,

the year of her sinking. Fourteen years prior to that , Morgan

Robertson wrote a novel called Futility. It to boasted a ship much

like the Titanic but called the Titan instead. Years later, the Titan

and the sinking of the real ship Titanic would be almost to eerie

to explain. For the Titanic and Morgans Titan was very identical

in circumstances on the fate of both ships. In 1886,William T.

Steed also wrote a book about two ships colliding and the loss of life

was great. He commented that there was never enough lifeboats

to save the people needed. Years later, he would be reading in a

ships library when sea rushed its way into the library.William did

not survive the sinking of the ship as it is told in my Internet search.

You may be surprised to know that he was drowned on April 20,1912,

on the now famous legendary RMS Titanic. Both the Titanic and

the Titan in Morgans book was said to be unsinkable though the

Titanic was proven to be very much the case. But the “unsinkable “

was badly taken out of text when it should have been “practically

unsinkable” instead of the now famous statement that is believed.

******

Alot of movies and documentaries have been made about this fabled

ship.According to the research ,movies was made about the ship from

1942 to 1997, James Camerons version being the last movie made.

It costed 200 million to make and grossed over 1.8 billion in the end,

and it at once was thought to fail instead of succeeding as it did. James

Camerons version of the Titanic is probably the most favored among

all of the movies made of the legendary fabled ship. Though I do like

to watch the older versions of the movie just as much as the new one.

But everyone I’m sure has their own favorite version of the fabled movie

they prefer to watch. But the great ship that has survived all these years

will not survive forever it seems. The elements that kept the Titanic safe

is also destroying her at the same time. One day the Titanic will just simply

collapse and not resemble the numerous pictures that has been taken. But

it will in no way take away from her former glory or the legend that is still

A very well written and researched article Payge. Many movies and books have been written about this tragedy, but it still remains one of the most talked about and discussed tragedies of our time. Well done friend.

    Interesting article.
It seems that fate cruelly decided to liven up Captain E. J. Smilth\’s, till then, rather dull life on the high seas.

Ha Ha, when I saw the title, I automatically thought this was an article on Michael Jackson.

You know because some people are still talking about it…
