The Neolithic Revolution in a Nutshell

The neolithic revolution brought agriculture which allowed for civilizations to be made.

Before the neolithic era, people had to hunt for food and move around constantly. They also made their tools from bones, stones, and wood and their ways of crafting them were limited.

The Neolithic era brought agriculture. Agriculture allowed for more food to be made so more people could be supported. It also allowed for people to stay put and form communities. With these communities came a more advance social structure in which ranking depended on job, gender, property, and family lineage as opposed to survival needs. Agriculture also allowed for more recreational time so people were able to specialize in whatever they wanted, and with that knowledge came new technology and better ways of educating the people.

Excellent account of a pivotal phase in human history – or should that be pre-history? Thanks for posting.
