"The Piantist" Movie Review
My review on "The Pianist"
Summary:The movie begins in Warsaw. Wladyslaw Szpilman is a pianist who plays on the Polish radio. While he was recording for the radio Nazi artillery hit the station. He and his family are then sent into the ghetto where the see people starve and some dead on the streets. His family is then shipped from the ghetto to a concentration camp, he is left alone. He escapes the ghetto and hides in various different hideout with little food. Until one day he meets a music loving Nazi who helps him get food and eventually a job again as he had before the Holocaust.
My Review: I thought this was a great/inspirational movie. I usually don’t like biographies but this was one of a kind. To see him go through so many of the struggles of the holocaust and survive is absolutely amazing. “The Pianist” describes the Holocaust very well through the eyes of a Jew. This movie is not recommended for kids, as there are some graphic scenes that they might not want to watch. The actors also did an amazing job with this movie. I would give this movie a 9/10.
