The Ulsterman Report: Obama’s Ground Zero Hypocrisy

And what now has enhanced the president’s interest enough at Ground Zero to motivate him to finally pay his respects? Sadly, no more than simple self-congratulatory motivation for something he did not do…

President Obama, well over two years into his presidency, and prior to that, a handful of years as a United States Senator, is for the first time, going to New York City’s Ground Zero – the site of our nation’s worst attack on native soil.  And what now has enhanced the president’s interest enough at Ground Zero to motivate him to finally pay his respects?  Sadly, no more than simple self-congratulatory motivation.

Prior to his trip today, the only other substantive moment between Barack Obama and Ground Zero was Obama’s strong support of a Muslim Mosque to be built in the vicinity of the very site destroyed by Muslim terrorists.

Take a moment to let that sink in…

And it is also now appears that President Obama took less time deciding to scramble a quickly organized Ground Zero photo opportunity following the alleged killing of Osama Bin Laden than the time he took as Commander in Chief in deciding whether or not to actually kill Osama Bin Laden after having discovered his exact location.

Take another moment to let that sink in…

Reports by the mainstream media are now propagating at an ever-increasing pace regarding the hesitation and uncertainty emanating from Obama as he fretted over what to do with the information that we finally knew where Osama was hiding.  A UK report indicated Obama told an exasperated group of high ranking military and Intel officials that he needed to “sleep on it.”  Further reports have confirmed the President of the United States was in fact golfing the day of the Bin Laden mission, and the now infamous photo of the situation room clearly shows Obama sitting in golf attire in the corner of the room.

Within a day of the mission, CIA Director Leon Panetta himself confirmed that President Obama was not privy to the actual attack footage, and that it was Panetta, in conjunction with military officials, and not Obama, who oversaw and commanded the mission.  A statement by a journalist on Fox News described a battle between members of the Obama administration regarding if and how the Bin Laden mission was to be carried out “and Panetta won.”

Panetta also proceeded to issue a challenge to now thoroughly embattled U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder (keep a close eye on that situation folks)  – admitting on camera that “enhanced interrogation” techniques played a role in obtaining the information necessary that finally located Osama Bin Laden.  As Attorney General, and thus with the direct support of President Barack Obama, members of the CIA and military are facing charges filed against them for involvement in the very enhanced interrogation techniques that CIA Director Leon Panetta is now admitting were of benefit to the operation Barack Obama is now touting as a great victory for America – and his own leadership.

Yeah, take another moment to let that sink in…

Lastly, we have Panetta again seemingly moving in direct opposition to the president, declaring a photo of a dead Osama Bin Laden would be provided.  Obama has adamantly denied a photo would be released, due largely to concerns over offending Muslim sensibilities.  This is the same President Obama who called for the showing of American soldiers returning in coffins, and originally called for the release of pictures of American servicepersons allegedly “torturing” Iraqi and Afghanistan soldiers.

Sigh… I know, I know – you need another moment…

I don’t know what I think of this whole thing. Obama has never been one to do anything. All he has done so far is let other people finish the war W. Bush started. Shrug. I am still waiting for him to do something other than find new ways to use Tax Money.

“Reports by the mainstream media are now propagating at an ever-increasing pace regarding the hesitation and uncertainty emanating from Obama as he fretted over what to do with the information that we finally knew where Obama was hiding.” Ummm, OBAMA hasn’t been hiding. He’s been living in the White House the last two years.

Your absence would be no great loss to any of us, ’shocked’. Your incredulity at this very credible version of the event shows that you are just another of the mentally-challenged O-bots who fall for the liberal spin without questioning the incongruity of it. MSNBC is more your speed.

Well-articulated as always, Ulsterman. The more facts you report and realistic conclusions you draw from this treacherous viper’s nest of the Obamas, Jarrett, Holder, et. al. … the more venom that’ll be directed your way by the self-deluded and -destructive utopians as reality crushes their dream of a Maoist America.

I’ve been following this and the preceding posts with great interest. One question that keeps nagging me as I follow this bumbling and ignorant administration is this: Why, for God’s sake, does the military, who took oaths to protect and defend the Constitution and seeing that said Constitution is in clear and present grave danger, not step in and conduct a polite, but firm, mini-coup, and inform the president that they will “assist” him in performing the remaining months of his term? Once he is safely out of office and a true pro-American again sits in the Oval Office, they can then stand down and return to their bases. If our military would do that, I suspect millions of Americans (including this former Marine) would hasten to join them and stand beside them.

“We’ve raised a question mark about what happened precisely, more details are needed at this point,” spokesman Rupert Colville told a briefing in Geneva on Friday.

I can tell you exactly what happened. The Navy Seals stormed the compound and were immediately in a fire fight with the occupants. No, wait, one occupant may have fired…and there was definitely at least one squirt gun…definitely…

They then went upstairs to bin Laden’s room where they found him hiding behind his wife and he had a gun and started firing on the Seals. Oh, wait, no…uh…he didn’t have a gun, but he wouldn’t go with the Seals peaceably…and, that wasn’t his wife. Wait…it was his wife and she was killed in the cross fire. No, no…it was his wife, but she was only shot in the leg.

Bin Laden was the only one killed…except maybe his wife, who was shot in the leg…if it was his wife…oh, and one other person. And maybe those graphic pictures showing 3 other men that were shot… Oh, and one other guy that may have been bin Laden’s son…and bin Laden’s body and his son’s body were taken away…maybe…not sure what happened to the son’s body…but definitely bin Laden’s body was taken away. If you don’t believe me, I can show the ocean it was dumped it.

Okay…I know that the White House was watching every minute of the raid…I saw the undoctored photo. Well, all of it except the half hour or so that the feed went dead…so….since the raid took 38 minutes they saw…10 minutes? Hang on…um…well…

    What was the question again?

Sorry Ulsterman, but you are incorrect. Obama did go to ground zero, during the campaign. He went with McCain and McCains wife. He was very aloof, and even disrespectfully threw his rose onto whatever the memorial at the time was, while the McCains gently placed theirs, as most respectful people do on these types of occasions. The real question is, where was Michelle? She didnt show up then, and she wasnt there this time either. Not really surprising, but yet it goes unmentioned.

And also, what would be the point in releasing the photo now?
i think Oct 28th 2012 or so would be a fine day to have them leak :P you can bet your ass Jarret was behind that decision.

NVMOR: The real question is, where was Michelle?”

Please don’t be so hard on the First Lady. She had a shopping trip and a stop at the Tamale Stand planned well in advance.

Moochelle had to get ready for the Cinco de Mayo partay at the WH Friday night. You know, get the nails done, the hair, wriggle into her Spandex, lube up the legs, get dressed and don all the bright shiny jewrey. Plus, she didn’t want to take attention away Obummer’s prancing victory lap at Ground Zero.

I also think that Obama is inept and it is the same people who were active in the Bush administration doing the work that the leader is unaware of and won’t be until it is done. The greater issue is the lack of having attempted to capture Bin Laden on the spot rather than adding fuel to the fire and killing him then and there.
