Lastly, there were the Virginia and Kentucky Resolutions. These resolutions were supposed to let states declare laws which were unconstitutional void. This would definitely not work though, as many people observed, because one may interpret the Constitution many different ways. They also were seen as not securing the blessings of liberty by having states interfere with the federal power. These resolutions were seen as not securing the blessings of liberty by making states too powerful and nobody could question whether or not the state should actually abandon the law making it so that people did not have a say in the states governments acceptance of bills and laws.
