I remember 1988! Thanks for trip down memory lane. I wish the average costs of living had remained the same. Good old Madonna is still around too.

Cool article Hein! I was 6 years old in ‘88 but remember the “Don’t Worry Be Happy Song”. I was in a serious accident that year and my sister heard this song on the car radio on the way to the hospital. She was 6 too (yeah we’re twins)
She hates this song to this day =( Awwwe. I’m fine though. I remember asking my mom who she voted for when I saw she had a Bush bumper sticker hanging from her purse. She replied “That’s none of your business”. I was 5 or 6.
