Thank you for the good comments. But let me just clarify that the numbering should be from 10 -> 1, I don’t know what happened. Princess Diana is considered to be in number 1 because 2.5billion people mourned during her death.
God Bless You All!

Ace,
You did a hell of a job! Very informative. Yes I agree these people will always be remembered for they’re contributions to the world. These historical figures like Princess Diane, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe made they’re mark not only in they’re chosen profession, but they had an immense impact on the public at large. The same public that mourned they’re passing.
Excellent writing, Ace. Keep up the goo work.

This list seems more like famous dead people, rather than famous deaths. Famous deaths would almost exclusively include people who died suddenly: murders, accidents, etc. I would say people who were assassinated would largely populate that list.

I agree – Great List but what about Bruce Lee? If you’re into fighting or not the man was an icon.

This article was obviously written before June 25, 2009, when we lost the greatest legend of all-Michael Joseph Jackson. Nothing more to say.
