Trial of Tears
by The Torture of the Native Americans.
The Europeans came over to Americas looking for land to settle. They did not expect to find the Native Americans. The Cherokees were the tribe that was settled in the east coast where they landed. They lived in peace while the Europeans settled land that was not occupied. Then they found gold. They got greedy. They were forcing the Native Americans to do something that would cause many deaths.
I recently read an article entitled “The Trial of Tears”. This article said that the Europeans were consumed with greed for the gold and forced the Cherokees to move away from their land. Not only that but they did not give them time to pack their belongings or food and water. They had to walk. Many Native Americans died. This was called the trial of tears. The fact that this sad thing happened was surprising. This is because the Natives and the Europeans lived in peace until they discovered gold.

It is worst than that, in many places of the american continent, french, english and spaniard people enslaved the native americans, and abused them.
It is a very sad story this one of colonization, and it is never told right.
