The turning points are the events that bring the positive and negative changes in a society, a country and the world as a whole. The socio-political, economical, and technological revolutions are marked as the turning points in the progress of civilization which form new ideas, raise new governments, and make new discoveries. The influences and outcomes of these changes shaped the world for innumerable years.
The world went through various technological reforms in the modern period which changed the face of the world. The technological advancement helped to improve the socio-economic condition. The development of steam engines in 1769 CE in England caused Industrial Revolution which increased the trade and helped to increase the economy of the world. The steam engines increase trade among the nations, which increased the population around England and impacted the social aspect of that time. The world developed technologically in the modern era which helped the world to globalize.
The political revolutions in the modern era established a new system of government which brought drastic change in the world. The people started to fight for liberty and a sense of democracy started developing. The democratic revolution started around the Atlantic in 1776 CE which spread the ideas of democracy in the world. The Atlantic revolutions influenced the movements for the end of slavery, constitutional government and voting rights. The concept of war began in 1914 CE when the world war began. World War I was another major turning point in history which helped in advancement of technology in the development of weapons. There was a turning point in the way war would be fought with the use of advanced weapons such as machine guns, rifle, torpedoes, and planes. The revolutions and wars lead to positive and negative changes in the world.
The political, social, and technological revolutions changed the face of the world in the modern period. These revolutions made the world better with advanced facilities and socio-political spectrums. Thus, the turning points are inevitable for change and development.
